DC Everest Park Launch
Multiple boat launches and a kayak launch. Kayak down the Wisconsin river or the winding Big Rib River.

Plenty of hiking trails and connected to the Ice Age Trail North Loop Trailhead.
Eau Claire River Trail | Brook Court Trailhead
This 1.25-mile walking and biking trail winds along the beautiful Eau Claire River in the heart of the Village of Weston. The Eau Claire River Trail offers park benches and picnic tables so bring a picnic lunch and let the kids wade in the water. Bring a blanket and a good book to spend a relaxing summer afternoon by the river. Grab your walking shoes or bike and experience nature at its finest.

Gulliver’s Landing Small Boat & Kayak Launch
Start your adventure on the Big Rib River, where winding waters lead you through scenic sandbars and abundant wildlife. Along the way, be sure to stop at Trailside, perfectly nestled on the riverbank, for a bite to eat and a refreshing drink.
Ice Age Trail - Plover River Segment
This beautiful segment highlights a dramatic traverse of the terminal moraine and the peaceful Plover River.
Isle of Ferns Park
From the parking lot, you can easily launch your kayak or canoe directly onto the Wisconsin River. Hikers can take the pedestrian bridge to the island and enjoy a scenic walk along its perimeter path.
Mountain Bay Trailhead
The Mountain-Bay State Trail is an 83-mile state-designated rail trail in Brown, Marathon, and Shawano Counties in Wisconsin. The trail is the longest rail trail in the state. The trail is named for the two geological features at either end of the trail: Green Bay and Rib Mountain.
Nine Mile County Forest
This developed county forest recreation area offers miles of off-road mountain biking trails that cater to all skill levels, with 13.45 miles of single-track trails and 20 miles of wider paths. In addition to biking, the area boasts an abundance of hiking trails, providing plenty of opportunities to explore the natural surroundings on foot.

Ringle Trail System
The Ringle Trail System has a total mileage of 10-11 miles. Trail is a network of smaller loops that can be combined into one larger loop. All trails, Rock the Wierzba, Ruby Ridge, Lost Forty and the Rookery.are fully machine constructed through the glacial terminal moraine ridges of Marathon County. Numerous jump, gap, drop features are scattered throughout the trail with all features being optional with a ride around if you want to keep your tires on dirt. Trails are groomed for winter riding.

River Edge Parkway
River Edge Parkway in downtown Wausau is a paved trail that follows the Wisconsin River for 1.25 miles, popular with walkers and cyclists year-round. The trail offers a serene escape within the city, with lighted sections, benches, multiple kayak launches, and a handicapped-accessible fishing pier. Pedestrian bridges connect to Fern Island and Barker-Stewart Island, providing additional exploration options.
Rotary Landing at Drott Street
Located off Drott Street alongside the Schofield Mill Apartment, this handicap-accessible launch takes you into the Schofield flowage.
Sylvan Hill Bike Park
This bike park offers a variety of trails that cater to all skill levels, from beginners to advanced riders. The park features expertly designed downhill runs, jumps, berms, and technical sections.
Trillium Trail
From South Mountain Road, turn onto Trillium Lane behind the Rib Mountain Fire Station. Follow Trillium Lane southeast, which acts as the bike path, to the dead-end where a small parking lot is.
Turkey Vulture Trail
Check-in at the Turkey Vulture Trailhead, located at the end of Grouse Lane. This scenic hike leads you to the historic old quarry atop Rib Mountain, offering breathtaking views and a glimpse into the area's rich history. Along the way, keep an eye out for the soaring turkey vultures, which add a unique touch to your outdoor adventure.
